  	[source: Suffolk FHS Monumental Inscriptions Index] Bradfield St George Recorded in 1926 and 1932 During the second half of the 19th century a great many gravestones (98) here were laid flat, many, but not all, where they stood. In 1926 I copied inscriptions on all the upright stones but left the others they being overgrown and therefore very difficult to decipher. In 1932 having removed turf and moss from them I copied the inscriptions on those laid flat. Such are marked with a + Those carved at the top are marked * Outside D - west of path up to south porch from S.E. corner 136. Headstone - carved top - laid flat Rachel wife of John Wright died 19th July 1694 aged 79 years 137. Headstone - carved top - laid flat Ann daughter of Robert Williamson died 25th July 1694 aged 19 years 138. Headstone - carved top - laid flat John Wright of Barton died 29th April 1716 aged 50 years 139. Headstone - carved top - laid flat George and Martha Wright - he buried 8th May 1681 ---/ she 26th January 1704 ---/ Mary daughter of George and Martha Wright died 29th October 1719 aged 58 years 56. Headstone - carved top - laid flat - very finely carved Martha wife of Charles Simpson and daughter of George and Martha Wright died 27th November 1714 aged 57 years 58.
