- George and Olive went to a Bingo Hall in Hayes and he started to feel ill, they had difficulty getting home as they had to go by bus as they had no car. He had to walk the length of Somervell Road from the bus stop dragging his leg. The next day he was diagnosed as having a stroke. It affected his arm and leg, probably his left side as Janice thinks he could still write ok. He was left with a weakness in his arm.
